Meet the West of Scotland Military Wives Choir
ABOUT US

STRONGER TOGETHER
The West of Scotland Military Wives Choir was formed in 2012, inspired by the BBC TV programme "The Choir", featuring Gareth Malone. It is part of the Military Wives Choirs Foundation, a network of over 80 MWCs in the UK and British bases abroad. Our membership includes women who have been with us from our beginnings and others who have been with us for only a few weeks. The nature of service life means the choir has an ever-changing line-up, but our core ethos of being the best we can be, while welcoming every elegible person, remains constant.
We are lucky to have the very talented Miriam Walker as MD and with her the choir has performed at a wide variety of events, from local care homes, weddings and garden fetes to much larger venues including Stirling Castle, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh, the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow and the National Armed Forces Day event in Stirling. We have been privileged to perform "Proud" with Heather Small of M People, and "Cry" with Lulu (twice!) and look forward to more exciting bookings in the future.
